Working remotely allowed me to travel extensively, but it also revealed something quieter and more personal. Many of my friends were spending long hours in high-pressure roles, often working almost entirely from their homes. Their spaces were no longer places they passed through—they were environments they lived in, created in, and rarely left.

I began to notice how deeply our surroundings influence how we feel. When work consumes so much of our time, the home becomes more than shelter—it becomes a source of calm, motivation, and quiet affirmation.

One friend put it simply: “If I’m spending all day at my desk, I want to be in a beautiful space. I want to feel rewarded for the life I’m building.”

At the same time, my own sense of wanderlust shaped how I approached my space. Traveling through different regions exposed me to distinct materials, textures, and ways of living—each place leaving a subtle imprint. I wanted my home to reflect that sense of movement and individuality, even when seen through a screen. A space that felt intentional, grounded, and quietly expressive.

Laiya Home was founded from this intersection: the desire to create interiors that bring calm, reflect personal identity, and honour the effort behind the lives we build. Each collection is curated with care, drawing inspiration from global design traditions while remaining rooted in timeless forms and natural materials.
